In a opening match of the Premier League season, Shabana FC suffered a tough defeat against Murang’a Seals at their home ground, Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay County. The encounter showcased the intense competition between the two teams as they battled for dominance throughout the game.

With both Shabana FC and Murang’a Seals displaying remarkable determination, the match remained neck-and-neck. The excitement reached its peak during the 73rd minute when an epic series of attacks occurred, leaving fans on the edge of their seats. Kalamaa of Shabana FC came agonizingly close to scoring, but the determined defense of Murang’a Seals managed to keep the game level.

However, it was in the 90+1 minute that the decisive moment arrived. Batts Awita of Murang’a Seals found an opening and expertly slotted the ball into the net, securing the winning goal and sealing victory for his team.

Despite the setback, Shabana FC hasn’t lost sight of their ambitions. Head Coach Sammy Okoth expressed his team’s determination to bounce back from the defeat. Looking ahead to their next match against FC Talanta, Coach Okoth stated, “Friday we’re going to put on a great performance against FC Talanta to try to win the game. Losing is always an opportunity to bounce back and show how much we want to win the KPL, and that is what we are fighting for.”

As the Premier League season progresses, Shabana FC remains focused on their goal of clinching the championship title, using this early defeat as motivation to prove their prowess on the field.
