Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports, Ababu Namwamba, embarked on a mission to boast Kenya’s presence in the global entertainment arena. Namwamba held discussions with Ambassador Big Ted and popular content creator Elsa Majimbo, aiming to promote Kenyan content worldwide by tapping into the Talanta Hela Initiative.
During the meeting, they explored avenues to collaborate on amplifying Kenyan creativity and leveraging the Talanta Hela Initiative’s resources.
Ababu also visited Invention Studios, where he engaged with President Nicholas Weinstock to advance agreements in film production previously established with the production house.
In a bid to further empower Kenyan artists and producers, Namwamba also visited the 1500 Sound Academy in Los Angeles, USA. There, he met with founder Larrance Dopson to discuss opportunities for Kenyan talent within the global music industry.
